I like the colors on this one rather better, the darkness adds a feeling that they really are in a cave and makes the colors sparkle better.

...And I'm pretty sure she didn't have a tail on the first one...O_x

Ah yes, you are correct, most perceptive one, no tail before. However, as I said this is a revamped version. Colors were changed, the rock formation, and minor character revisions. Karis now has a tail to give her more of an animalistic quality and Barue no longer has his staff because it interfered with the flow of the image. :)
